Regarding Sanseiryu and Flushing Toilets

Circumambulation is a common practice in ancient rituals and traditions across various cultures. It involves moving in a circular path around a central point, often representing a sacred or symbolic space. Pangainoon's 3 katas incorporate this concept by emphasising the significance of revolving around an empty center.

To illustrate this, let's consider the example of flushing the toilet in relation to the Sanseiryu kata. Just as flushing the toilet requires a circular motion around the central drain, Sanseiryu kata incorporates circular movements around a central focal point. This movement symbolizes the flushing out of negative energy or impurities from the body, similar to how flushing the toilet removes waste.

The spiral concept can also be applied here. The spiral represents a continuous and evolving motion, often associated with growth, transformation, and energy flow. In the context of Pangainoon's 3 katas, the spiral concept can be observed through the circular movements that gradually expand or contract, reflecting the dynamic nature of the practice. This spiral motion helps to create a harmonious flow of energy and aids in achieving a state of balance and centeredness.
